Using Inks on Bookings
Register inks to a booking, understand restrictions, and fix common issues.
Ink registration happens on the booking itself.
Where to register inks
Open the booking → Ink tab.
Register An Ink
- Open the booking
- Go to the Ink tab
- Search for the ink (identifier, batch number, name, brand)
- Select it to register it to the booking
The ink will appear in the “registered inks” list for that booking.
Restrictions (What You Can Register)
When you search from a booking:
- Only active inks are shown.
- If an ink is assigned to a specific artist, it can only be registered on bookings assigned to that artist.
- If you filter by location, inks assigned to that location (and “unassigned/global” inks) are typically the ones you’ll see.
Remove An Ink From A Booking
If an ink was registered by mistake, remove it from the booking’s ink list. This does not delete the ink from inventory.
Require Ink For Booking Completion
You can make ink registration part of your booking-completion workflow.
Enable:
- Extensions → Ink Registration → Settings
- Turn on Require ink for booking completion
When this setting is enabled:
- A booking only becomes complete after its end time has passed and at least one ink has been registered
- If the booking has ended and no ink is registered, TatTool shows an Ink registration required banner on the booking
- The same missing item also appears in the dashboard’s Required Actions card stack
Only affects ended bookings
This warning is tied to bookings that have already ended.
Future or in-progress bookings do not show the missing-ink completion state just because no ink has been registered yet.
What clears the warning
Register at least one ink on the booking.
Once the booking has an ink registration, the missing-ink warning state is cleared.
