Payments & Ledger
TatTool records money events for operations and reporting (it does not move funds).
TatTool records money as payments. Payments are used for operational workflows (verification, follow-up) and reporting.
TatTool does not move money. Stripe, your bank, and card terminals handle the actual transfer.
Where to create payments
Create payments on a booking, in the Payments tab.
See: Payments & Money
Online vs Offline Payments
- Online payments are taken via Stripe (optional extension).
- Offline payments are recorded manually (cash, terminal, bank transfer, etc.).
Deposits vs Service Payments
Studios commonly split money into:
- Deposit: money collected before the service date
- Service payment: money collected for the service itself (often on the service day)
Purpose helps keep reporting and workflows clear when a booking has multiple payments.
Verification (Recorded vs Verified)
Verification is how TatTool separates “recorded” from “trusted” money for reporting.
Many studios:
- Auto-verify online payments
- Manually verify offline payments
Refunds & Adjustments
Refunds reduce revenue and are tracked as money events.
Always review revenue changes in context:
- The booking
- The payment history (and its audit trail)
- Insight (Performance mode)
