Widgets & Details Panel
Every Insight widget explains itself—open the details panel to see definitions, calculations, and active filters.
Insight is built from widgets. The exact widgets you see can vary based on:
- Your role (member vs admin/owner)
- Enabled extensions (for example online payments)
- Ongoing product updates
The Widget Details Panel (Your Best Friend)
Every widget has a top-right details button. Clicking it opens a global side panel that explains the widget.
The panel typically includes:
- What the widget shows (in plain language)
- Which data source it uses (payments vs bookings)
- How values are calculated
- Which time range and filters are applied
- What it’s compared against (if applicable)
When a number looks wrong
Open the widget details panel first. It’s the fastest way to confirm the widget’s data source, filters, and calculation rules.
Reading Insight Without Memorizing Everything
You don’t need to remember how every metric is computed.
The intended workflow is:
- Use filters to focus (time range, location, user, tags)
- Scan the widgets you care about
- Open widget details for any number you need to explain to someone else
