Filters
Use time range, location, users, roles, tags, and created-by filters to focus Insight on the right slice of your business.
Insight filters apply across widgets so you can focus on exactly what you need.
Filters are also shown as “pills” in the header when active.
Time Range
You can choose a predefined period or a custom range.
Common periods include:
- Last/Next 7 days
- Last/Next 30 days
- Last/Next 3 months
- Salary period (if your organization uses it)
- Custom (pick exact dates)
Some operational charts use 7/30/90-day buckets
Some utilization/capacity charts map your selection into a 7-day, 30-day, or 90-day view to keep charts fast and comparable. If you select a longer custom range, those charts may still show up to ~90 days of data.
Location
Use Location to focus Insight on a specific studio location.
Notes:
- Revenue/booking metrics filter to bookings/payments associated with that location.
- Capacity-based metrics (like available hours) depend on which members are assigned to that location.
If utilization shows 0 for a location
Check that your artists are assigned to that location: Members → member Actions → Assign locations.
Users and Roles
Use Users to focus on one or more artists/staff members.
Use Role to filter to a group (for example all artists).
Members can only see their own data
If your role is Member, Insight automatically restricts results to your own user—even if you select other users in filters.
Tags
Use Tags to filter bookings that were tagged (for example “Walk-in”, “Large”, or “Consultation”).
Created By
Use Created By to filter based on who created the booking (helpful for auditing reception-created vs artist-created bookings).
Revenue Settings (Gross/Net and Recognition Mode)
Some revenue widgets allow extra choices:
- Gross vs net revenue: whether fees are included.
- Service date vs payment date: how revenue is recognized in reports.
If you’re unsure what a revenue widget is using, open its details panel.
