Locations

Locations represent where work happens. Every booking and consultation is assigned a location for scheduling, reporting, and communication.

Locations are a core structural concept in TatTool.

A location represents a physical place where work happens, such as:

  • A studio owned by the organization
  • A guest studio an artist regularly works at
  • Multiple branches under the same organization

Where Locations Are Used

Locations affect multiple areas of the system:

Events

Bookings and consultations are assigned a location to indicate where the session happens.

Payments

Payments are associated with a location (typically via the booking) so revenue can be filtered and reported per studio.

Flows & Communication

Location details can be used in messaging (for example addresses or location-specific instructions).

Insight & Reporting

Location filters affect revenue and operations views. Capacity-based metrics can depend on which members are assigned to the selected location.

If a location shows 0 capacity in Insight

Assign members to that location: OrganizationMembers → member ActionsAssign locations.

Archiving A Location

Locations are archived instead of deleted to preserve history.

Archiving:

  • Removes the location from selection in new events
  • Preserves historical references for payments, reports, and past events

Archiving can’t be undone in the app

Archiving is intended to protect data integrity. Use it when you’re sure the location should no longer be used.
