To-Dos
Track studio work in a board or segmented list, control visibility, and create follow-up tasks quickly from bookings.
To-Dos help your studio track follow-up work, reminders, and system-generated tasks in one place.
You can open the To-Do page to manage work as either:
- A board with one column per status, or
- A list with one collapsible section per status
Fast answer
Go to To-Do to manage tasks.
- Switch between Board view and List view
- Drag items between status sections to update progress
- Create tasks manually, from inside bookings, or let system-generated work appear automatically
Views And Status Sections
The To-Do page is organized by status:
- Pending
- In Progress
- Completed
- Cancelled
Each status gets its own section.
- In Board view, each status appears as a separate column
- In List view, each status appears as its own expandable section
You can drag a to-do between sections to change its status. This works across the segmented layout, so the page behaves like a lightweight kanban board instead of a simple table.
Create A To-Do
When creating a to-do, you can set:
- Title
- Description
- Status
- Due date
- Owner
- Visibility
The create dialog also includes Create more, which keeps the dialog open after saving so you can add another to-do immediately without reopening it.
Owner vs visibility
The owner is the person responsible for the task.
The visibility controls who the to-do is shared with.
Visibility Options
To-dos are no longer just personal notes. Each item can be created with a visibility level:
- Private: keeps the to-do user-scoped instead of sharing it broadly
- Organization: shares the to-do across the organization
- Location: shares the to-do with members who belong to a specific location
If you choose Location, you must also choose which location the to-do belongs to.
When to use each visibility
- Use Private for personal follow-up work
- Use Organization for tasks everyone in the studio may need to see
- Use Location for front-desk, artist, or operational work tied to one studio location
Search, Filters, And Switching Views
The To-Do page includes:
- Search
- Status filtering
- Due-date filtering
- A toggle between Board view and List view
This makes it easier to focus on active work, upcoming deadlines, or one part of the workflow without losing the status-based structure.
Quick Add From Bookings
You can create a to-do directly from inside a booking.
Open the booking’s Event Sheet, then use New todo from the booking actions. This is useful for quick follow-up work such as:
- Chasing references
- Confirming details with the client
- Internal prep before the appointment
- Post-session follow-up
Booking-created to-dos open the same shared dialog and can still be given an owner, due date, status, and visibility.

System-Generated To-Dos
Not every to-do has to be created manually.
Some to-dos can be created automatically by TatTool or by extension-related workflows. These appear in the same To-Do page alongside manually created tasks, so your team can track operational work in one place.
One example is ink-related follow-up work, which may appear as a system-generated item instead of a manually entered to-do.
